For those of you who have been paying attention to my blog, it shouldn’t be a surprise I carry my camera around a lot. I barely ever go anywhere without my camera bag. I’ve been doing this for a long while (a few years) and the reason is basically: you never know what you’re going to walk into. Right? And it works. Every now and then I come across some wonderful lighting, a wacko composition or just some dope object. Whenever that happens I’m way too grateful I have my camera with me. Of course, if for some reason I don’t have it with me, I always have an iPhone in my pocket that can serve as a substitute. (“The best camera is the one that’s with you”, props to Chase Jarvis)
This morning, literally an hour ago, I walked into two scenes that I thought were worth capturing. These were both about a five minutes walk from my home in Amsterdam. That’s another cool note: you don’t have to go far to take cool photos, they might just be within a few feet from where you are.
Thankfully, since I’m studying in Delft now, I have to travel there by train on a regular basis. This gives me about an hour to pull out my laptop and edit some photos on the go. That’s exactly what I just did. Never before has there been such a short time between taking a photo and publishing it on my blog.
Anyway, let’s get to it. I hope you like them, please let me know in the comments!
