Thursday I have been walking for two and a half hours taking photos.
Thursday I was free at 11:00 AM, I went home and ate some lunch. But I didn’t feel like sitting at home the entire day, so I decided to go out. Usually I go out by bike, but this time I decided not to out on my bike, but to just walk.
The reason why I decided to walk was that I would take photos way more easily. If I’m riding my bike, not only do I see less of what’s around me, but also, if I do see something interesting, I often don’t feel like getting off my bike, taking my camera out and taking a shot. If I’m just walking with my camera in my hand though, I can just take a shot at any moment without having to do anything but pressing the shutter.
So I headed out, not knowing exactly where I was going, and I got on a tram. The tram took me to the Central Station and from there on, I just walked all the way through Amsterdam. I have seen every little alley, every little object. Alright, not really, but I did see a whole lot. In two and a half hours of Amsterdam walking you can see a lot and you can also take a lot of photos. And that is exactly what I did.
I have made quite a few interesting shots, but I’ve only put two of them on my website. Of which one is also at the top of this blog post.

I was inspired by this video that I saw on YouTube after Chase Jarvis shared it on his blog.
